Ordering Regalia

Regalia should be ordered through Herff Jones no later than March 25th. After this date, the site will be closed and you must contact a representative directly and will be assessed a late charge. When ordering, be sure to click on University of North Texas Health Science Center and then follow the prompts. You will need to pay by credit/debit card.

Announcements, Rings, Diploma Frames

Class rings, announcements and diploma frames are available through Herff Jones. A portion of the proceeds comes back to UNTHSC to help support Student Scholarships.

Cap and Gown Pick-Up

Faculty regalia will be distributed to individual offices the week of May 6th.

Graduate regalia will be available for pick-up 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday, May 13th through Wednesday, May 14th. If you are unable to come during the scheduled time, please send a representative. We will not be transporting gowns to TCU.

Ceremony

Graduates are responsible for bringing their regalia, including cap, gown, and hood. There will not be extra caps, tassles, gowns or hoods available at the ceremony site.

The commencement ceremony starts promptly at 3:00 p.m and will last approximately three and half hours.

Professional attire is required. Shorts, sandals and low cut or short dresses are not appropriate. Decoration of caps is not permitted. Please be respectful of the importance of the ceremony and remember, this is family-friendly event.

Graduates should arrive no later than 2:30 p.m. At this time we will begin robing, assembling and giving out instructions. Please come prepared to listen to instructions regarding the ceremony as there is no rehearsal. Graduates will be lining up outside the concourse beneath the football stadium bleachers.

Mirrors, bobby pins and safety pins will be available in the dressing area.

Do not bring any personal items with you (ie. cell phones, purses). There will be no area for those items to be left. UNTHSC will not be responsible for any lost/stolen items.

Under NO circumstance are balloons, confetti, silly string, glitter, or any spray materials allowed in the arena, including on the floor with graduates. This violates our contact with the venue and those involved will be subject to penalty.

Handicap Parking is available directly in front of the Daniel-Meyer Coliseum.

The doors to the coliseum will open at 2:00 p.m. for all guests.

Seating

No tickets will be necessary for entry into this event. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Handicap seating is available.

Diplomas

Diplomas will be available for pick-up immediately following the ceremony.  Graduates will be lead directly to the location where you will also return regalia.

Only graduates will be permitted to pick up diplomas, please do not send family or friends.
