Immunization Requirements

Immunization requirements for ALL UNTHSC students can be found here.   You will receive an email with information about submitting your immunization records through Certphi, MyRecordTracker.  Additionally, Tuberculosis Testing (PPD) is provided annually through the Student Health Clinic Personnel.  The Student Health Clinic will notify your class via email with date, time and location details. 

White Coat Ceremony

All incoming DO, DPT and PA students must attend.  Please click here for more information on White Coat Ceremony and click here to submit your white coat size.


UNT Health Science Center has an Online Bookstore for students to purchase textbooks.  If you are looking to purchase new or used textbooks, please visit: www.unthsc.bkstr.com

Additional offerings include Digital Textbooks and specially priced Microsoft and Adobe software.                        

UNT Health Science Center and Alumni Association merchandise are also available for purchase through the Online Bookstore.  Shop the website to purchase a t-shirt, car decal or coffee mug! 

Required HIPAA & CITI Training

All incoming DPT students need to complete HIPAA Training. HIPAA Training will be available for completion during the week of orientation.  Instructions on how to complete this training will be communicated via email.

All incoming DPT students are required to complete CITI training prior to New Student Orientation. Be prepared to turn in your CITI training certificate of completion during New Student Orientation. Click here for more information regarding required trainings.

Background Checks

As a new DPT student, you are required to complete a criminal background check prior to New Student Orientation. You will receive an email that instructs you on how to complete the background check. Click here to view the email notification.   Please do not attempt to complete the background check until you receive the email.

Note: You will not have access to the site to submit your background check until you have been officially accepted into the DPT program. 


All incoming DPT students will receive a MacBook as part of your $2000.00 course fee. Your MacBook will be distributed during New Student Orientation.  You are required to keep your school-issued MacBook.  You may not trade it or sell it. Due to student testing requirements, you will be required to use this school-issued MacBook for all computer-based exams.  You will also receive an iPad mini which will be used for a number of in-class quizzes.  You must use your school-issued iPad for these quizzes. Click HERE to learn more about your technology package.

Medical Equipment

DPT students do not need to purchase medical equipment. It will be provided by the the DPT program.


Pre-Matriculation workshops are not required but are highly recommended for incoming DPT students. The workshops generally take place during the two weeks prior to New Student Orientation.

You do not need to register for your classes. DPT students are placed in their classes each semester.

Student Veteran's Information

As we prepare for the upcoming school year, we would like to invite our incoming military affiliated students (veterans, reserve, active, etc.) to learn about the veteran and military-specific resources and opportunities that are available here at UNTHSC. The Division of Student Affairs will be hosting a lunch for the incoming military affiliated students on Thursday, July 16th from 12pm-1pm in the Atrium of the Carl E. Everett Education and Administration Building. 

This time is designed to allow incoming students time to interact with staff members from the two primary offices within Student Services and Enrollment Services that support our military-affiliated students, clarify questions regarding paperwork and benefits, and connect with members of the UNTHSC Student Veterans Association.
