police drugs

The unlawful manufacture, distribution, dispensing, possession or use of a controlled substance and the abuse of alcohol in the workplace is expressly prohibited on campus under the UNTHSC's Drug Free Work Place.

Serving alcoholic beverages on campus is also prohibited, except when approved by the administration. All reported infractions of the UNTHSC's drug and alcohol policies, including underage possession and/or consumption of alcoholic beverages, will be investigated and violators will be subject to disciplinary action and/or punishment as dictated by federal and state laws.

The UNTHSC provides a drug free awareness program that informs employees and students of the legal sanctions and health risks associated with the unlawful possession, distribution and use of illicit drugs and alcohol. (see Human Resources Policy 05.508) Students may contact Student Affairs and employees may contact Human Resource Services to obtain information regarding available drug counseling, rehabilitation, and assistance programs available.
