Meet Doug White
Vice President Institutional Advancement
Doug White leads the Health Science Center’s efforts to secure private philanthropic support for the institution’s priority growth needs. Prior to joining the Health Science Center, White held leadership roles at Texas Health Harris Methodist Foundation, serving as president from December 2004 to June 2013.
White began his philanthropy leadership career in higher education development, serving as:
- Associate Dean for External Affairs at the School of Public Health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
- Assistant Vice Chancellor for Advancement at Texas Christian University.
- Director of Communications and Corporate Relations at the John E. Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCLA.
White is past president of the Rotary Club of Fort Worth and a current trustee of the Bobby Bragan Youth Foundation and Carter BloodCare Foundation. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Tulsa with a Bachelor of Science degree and a double-major in journalism and advertising/public relations.
