The Office of Student Development provides a variety of activities, events and programs for all students at the University of North Texas Health Science Center. These events include:
-
The commencement ceremony honoring over 440 graduates from UNT Health Science Center takes place annually in May. Distinguished guests, speakers, family members and friends are invited to join in celebration of our students hard work and achievement as they prepare to begin the next chapter in their professional lives.
-
Family Weekend provides a diversified overview of the services available to students at the UNT Health Science Center. Your participation in this event will furnish you with the knowledge and information needed to assist in providing the type of support your student needs to succeed. In addition, you will have the opportunity to connect with other families, learn more about campus life, and spend time with your student.
-
The first Friday of December marks the annual tradition of the UNT Health Science Center Casino Night. Taking place in the Historic Ft. Worth Stockyards, the “Cowtown” feeling of good BBQ, good music and good times rings true every year. Poker, Blackjack and Craps tables adorn the facility as guests enjoy music and cheer. Registered Student Organizations and the Office of Student Development sponsor roughly 25 prizes that are drawn at the conclusion of the evening.
In addition, we assist our students in planning a number of events, including:
- DO Dash
- Powderpuff Football
- Student Clinician Ceremony
- National Specialty Recognition Months
- Lecture Series, Campus Speakers, Social Events, Faculty Appreciation Events, and much more!
