*No one under the age of 16 is allowed in the Founders' Activity Center under any circumstances (Includes use of outdoor basketball court)*

Fitness Super Sampler: Spin and More on Monday, June 1st

The Office of Health Promotion is excited to announce the opening of our NEW spin room at the FAC and we invite you to try a spin class… and MORE on June 1st.  There will be 20 minute spin heats during the lunch hour along with 20 minute heats of ABC’s, Zumba, and Sculpt in the group exercise room to keep you sweating for a full 60 minutes. You don’t have to be a member of the FAC to participate, so grab a friend or coworker to try out our classes for free! Spots are limited to 12 participants per heat, so sign up for by Friday May 29th  at the front desk of the FAC.

Classes highlighted in green are limited to 12 participants and you must present a class pass to instructor at the start of class. Passes can be obtained in person at the front desk up to 15 minutes prior to class start time. One pass per person and passes cannot be picked up for another person.

Class Descriptions

ABC's

This class combines core and leg strength training exercises with cardio intervals to torch calories while you tone and tighten your lower body and torso!

Morning S.E.T. (Strength Endurance Training)*

If you’re looking to improve your strength, get more comfortable in the weight room and make changes in your physique, this class is right for you. If you’ve ever considered personal training but it didn’t quite fit into your budget, this class is a great way to reap the benefits of personal training at a much lower cost! Start your day off right with Morning S.E.T. to ignite your metabolism and get the results you want!

Workouts will be held in the weight room, incorporating free weight exercises and cardio intervals to maximize your time in the gym. Class size will be limited to only 8 people so that each participant can receive plenty of attention and feedback from the trainer. The cost for the class is $60 and class times will be Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6:30-7:15am, June 9th through July 2nd, for a total of 8 workouts.

TurboKick/Turbo HIIT

An action-packed workout that combines a series of punching and kicking combinations to fun music. This class improves strength, muscle tone and endurance. An intense workout for the participant who wants a challenge. Turbo HIIT takes your favorite part of TurboKick for a high intensity interval class that will leave you drenched in sweat!

PiYo

A unique combination of Pilates, Yoga, strength conditioning, flexibility and dynamic balance. Learn movements that elongate muscles, strengthen the core, release tension and improve posture.

Sculpt

Featuring barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells, plyometrics, body weight strength exercises and cardio intervals, this class will improve strength and give you that toned physique you desire!

Workout Roulette

Variety is the spice of life and that is exactly what workout roulette provides: a different format each week! Come on Friday to mix up your workout routine, try different formats and meet all the instructors.

Zumba

Inspired by traditional cumbia, salsa, samba and merengue music, Zumba is a combination of Latin rhythms and red-hot international dance steps. Zumba is Spanish slang for "to move fast and have fun." The goal is simple: work out, love working out, get hooked and have fun.
