The Community Hospital Foundation, Inc. is now accepting applications for the 2014-2015 G.W. Tompson Scholarship. This opportunity is open to 2nd, 3rd or 4th year medical students (will be 2nd, 3rd, 4th year during Fall 2014-Spring 2015). Scholarship amount varies (last year one student from each class was awarded $5,000). Send completed application, photo, current original transcript, two letters of reference, and a brief typed narrative concerning educational goals, financial need and extra curricular activities to the Financial Aid Office. Deadline: Wednesday, February 20, 2014 by 5pm.
One Medical Group is accepting aplications from 3rd year TCOM students interested in pursuing primary care. Must include 2 references and 2 essays on provided topics by donor. One $10,000 scholarship will be awarded to an outstanding third year medical student with a passion for primary care. Please visit website for application and further information. Deadline: March 14, 2014The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Indian Health Service (IHS) is accepting applications for its fiscal year 2014 Indian Health Professions Scholarship Programs. IHS scholarships are designed to encourage American Indians and Alaska Natives to enter the health professions to assure the availability of Indian health professionals to serve Indians. To apply, you must be a member of a Federal recognized Indian Tribe, Eskimo, Aleut and other Alaska natives, be enrolled in an appropriately accredited school and be pursuing a course of study in a health profession. Note: Recipients will incur a service obligation upon acceptance of funding from this program. Awards will cover tuition and fees as well as other costs. Deadline: March 28, 2014 for new applicants
This external scholarship opportunity is open to all current students or those planning to enroll within 12 months; applicants must be legal residents of the US or International students with valid Visas. Only one entry allowed per month (a new winner is chosen every month). One prize of $2,000 will be awarded each month to a randomly selected entrant (winners will be notified via email).
