Pulmonology

The Division of Pulmonology and Critical Care of the UNT Health Physician  Group provide consultative, diagnostic, and therapeutic services for the full spectrum of pulmonary diseases and sleep medicine. To schedule an appointment, call:817.735.DOCS (3627).

Our board-certified/eligible specialists offer clinical evaluation, diagnostic, and treatment services to patients with health problems such as asthma, acute and chronic pulmonary emboli, emphysema, interstitial lung disease, lung cancer, sarcoidosis, granulomatous lung diseases, pulmonary vascular diseases, and tuberculosis.

 

Special services include:

  • Providing consultations in all pulmonary diseases
  • Pulmonary function testing
  • Cardiopulmonary exercise testing and sleep medicine
  • Interventional bronchoscopy with laser surgery
  • Bronchoscopic stents
  • Thoracentesis

Consultative care is also provided for critically ill patients and for other hospitalized patients with acute and chronic respiratory failure.

Referrals to our board-certified/eligible physicians come with the added benefit of their membership in the UNT Health Physician Group, the area’s largest multi-specialty group practice that boasts an impressive internal medicine group of more than 30 specialists and subspecialists. The Pulmonology/Critical Care Division is one of 11 divisions in the Department of Medicine for the UNT Health Physician Group.
