Hooding and Commencement Information

SHP Academic Hooding & Commencement Ceremony
The 2014 Hooding and Commencement Ceremony for the University North Texas Health Science Center
School of Health Professions (Physical Therapy and Physician Assistant Studies) will take place on

 Friday, May 16th, 2014 
at the Will Rogers Memorial Auditorium 
at 1 pm.
3401 West Lancaster Avenue, Fort Worth, 76107

The doors to the auditorium will open to guest at 12:30 pm. 

Reception
Medical Education & Training (MET) Building's Lawn 
1000 Montgomery, Fort Worth 76107
2:30 pm - 4:00 pm
(immediately following the commencement)


Graduate Information
Graduate regalia will be available for pick-up 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday, May 13th through Wednesday, May 14th in Student Development. If you are unable to come during the scheduled time, please send a representative. Gowns will not be available for pick-up on Thursday or Friday. All gowns MUST be returned immediately following the ceremony. Please plan to take photos before your designated start time.

Graduates will process from EAD.
11:00 am - 12:00 pm
Students are welcome to take pictures with friends and family during time.

12:00 pm
Please report to Luibel Hall in full regalia to line up.
You will receive your name card. Please remain in this order to assist families 
who will be taking pictures.

Do not bring purses, cell phones or other personal items.
There will be no security for personal items such as cameras and handbags during the ceremony.
Commencement is aformal academic ceremony, we recommend that candidates dress appropriately. 
Comfortable business attire is recommended.

Commissioning Ceremony

 The Commissioning Ceremony will take place immediately following in the
Medical Education & Training (MET) Building

regarding the information that you will need to complete prior to the ceremony.

ADA Accommodations
If you have guests that require ADA accommodations,
please contact the Office of Dean in the School of Health Professions by April 15th.
Seating for individuals with limited mobility, including wheelchair accessibility,
is available in the Will Rogers Auditorium. 

Parking

The parking at Will Rogers Memorial Auditorium is managed through Standard Parking.
Parking is $8 and guests are encouraged to bring cash (exact change) in order to assist with traffic flow.
We will have open parking on campus. Wear encouraging the graduates to carpool. 
Handicap parking is available throughout the complex. Parking rates apply to all vehicles.
