Requirements

MHA, MPH, DrPH, PhD & Dual Degree Applicants

Submit applications through the School of Public Health Application Service, SOPHAS.

Applicants to the Master of Health Administration program may apply through either the Healthcare Administration, Management & Policy Centralized Application Service, HAMPCAS or SOPHAS.

MPH/MS Applied Anthropology applicants must apply to both degree programs and following admissions requirements and application procedures. MS Applied Anthropology is offered through University of North Texas in Denton.

MPH/MS in Nursing applicants must apply to both degree programs and follow admissions requirements and application procedures for both universities. MSN is offered through the University of Texas at Arlington.

DO/MPH applicants that are currently enrolled in Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine can complete and return the downloadable application to the SPH Office of Student & Academic Services located in EAD-716.

Note: UNT Health Science Center School of Public Health does not require applicants to complete a supplemental application.

 Tips for Application Submission

    • Review the admissions requirements of the program to which you are applying
    • Apply as early as possible
    • Read all of the instructions within each section of the application before submitting your application
    • Make sure your Statement of Purpose is original, in your own words and check carefully for grammatical errors before submitting your application
    • Submit official transcripts from ALL U.S. institutions attended, even study abroad
    • Make sure to monitor your application online and check for email messages
    • You must enter the email addresses of all your recommenders before submitting your application. To avoid SPAM filters, please notify your recommenders that they will receive an email from either SOPHAS sophasinfo@sophas.org or HAMPCAS hampcasinfo@hampcas.org giving them instructions on how to complete the reference
    • The application service will not begin processing your application until you have e-submitted and paid the application fee
    • After all official transcripts and letters of recommendation have been received by the application service allow them up to 4-6 weeks to process your application before it is released to your designated universities (this time may vary depending on the volume of applications being processed)

Graduate Certificate in Public Health

Complete and return the downloadable application, $40 application fee and request official transcripts from all universities or colleges attended to be sent to:
